The Uhuru Indictment Is DRACONIAN

A federal indictment unsealed last month accuses members of the St. Petersburg-based Uhuru Movement of working on behalf of the Russian government in a campaign to “sow discord, spread pro-Russian propaganda and influence local elections.” If these are crimes now, our First Amendment no longer exists. On this edition of Maverick News we speak to RT reporter Caleb Maupin about this landmark free speech case, and what it could mean for any American who supports #Russia in the current war with #Ukraine. Maupin is the founder of the Center for Political Innovation. His organization, CPI, has hosted members of the Black #Uhuru #socialist movement at their events, and knows the accused personally.
