Making Over My Cold Steel Survival Knife! Leather Working ASMR

This is an addendum to my previous leathercraft video where I made a custom sheath for my Cold Steel Drop Forged Survivalist bowie knife. I decided I didn’t like the grey coating and that the grip was just a little small for my hands. Citristrip paint remover and a brass brush made quick work of the coating (I let it sit overnight). I was pleasantly surprised the laser etched logos actually went into the steel and not just on the paint. I then wrapped the handle in 3-4 oz veg-tan leather with a little tooling. I actually like the knife’s original grip texture, so cut slots in the leather so there would still be some there (albeit in very small windows). Stamps used in this video: Craftool P206 Craftool S931
