“The Lonely Shepherd“, is one of most famous pieces of Romanian Pan Flute musician Gheorghe Zamfir, which was written by James Last and recorded along with the James Last Orchestra, and first included on Zamfir’s 1977 album Memories from Russia. “The Lonely Shepherd“ was used as the theme for the 1979 Australian mini series Golden Soak. It was also featured in Quentin Tarantino’s 2003 film Kill Bill: Volume 1. Here it is being performed by Incan brothers Santiago Morales and Oscar Morales. Born in the Andes Mountains of Ecuador, Santiago Morales began playing string instruments at the age of six. He dedicated himself to the traditional string instrument known as the charango. He later mastered the guitar, mandolin and drums. By the age of eight Santiago was performing folkloric music for thousands. Oscar Andres Morales began playing the pan flutes at the age of seven. Along with his brother Santiago Morales, the two began to tour Europe at a young age.
