Kuomintang Leader Hung Hsiu-chu Visits Mausoleum of Sun Yat-sen
Kuomintang leader Hung Hsiu-chu visited the Mausoleum of Sun Yat-sen in east China’s Nanjing on Monday morning to pay tribute to this important figure in the Chinese history.
Mr. Sun Yat-sen and his mausoleum have great significance for the development of cross-strait ties. Hung said after the visit that the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation must be realized under the spirit of Sun.
“I think the great sentiment of Mr. Sun Yat-sen is highly praised by both sides. I believe we will be able to rejuvenate our nation and improve the livelihood of our people in his spirit. We surely can go hand in hand to create prosperity in the future,“ said Hung.
Hung and her delegation arrived in Nanjing, east China’s Jiangsu Province, on Sunday evening on a five-day visit to the Chinese mainland.
It is the first time for Hung to have visited the mainland as the head of the Kuomintang along with her delegation.
