Tchaikovsky was inspired to write this work by a play written by his brother Modest for his sister’s children. It’s about a nutcracker who is given to the girl Clara on Christmas and turns into a prince. The “March“ sounds as the second piece in act 1. Already during his lifetime (1840-1893), many of Tchaikovsky’s works became internationally known. Today they are among the most significant of Romanticism. In Russia today he is considered the most important composer of the 19th century. With Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker, he also wrote three of the most famous ballets in music history. 🔗Subscribe to my YouTube @VladimirMagalashvili 📍Find me here: 📍Aleksandr Volkov Sound: Knut Becker @KANUTOdesign Video: Oleg Belyaev #tchaikovsky #organ #thenutcracker
