Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with recently appointed British Defence Secretary Grant Shapps in Kyiv. Shapps, one of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s staunchest allies, was named defence secretary last month after a Cabinet reshuffle, replacing Ben Wallace who held the post for four years and had overseen Britain’s military response to the war in Ukraine.
