📌Genghis Khan began the conquest of Central Asia in the summer of 1219, having collected nearly two hundred thousand soldiers to his army. The pretext for the invasion was the extermination of a Mongolian merchant caravan in Otrar. 🗡Having defeated the Nayman and seizing the main cities of Semirechye - Balasugan and Kashgar, Genghis Khan moved his main forces along the river Syr Darya to Bukhara and Samarkand.
