Concerto Primo (Adam Jarzębski) | Italian Virtuosos | Castello Consort (live)

Live recording of the short Concerto Primo à 2 by the Polish composer Adam Jarzębski for soprano (violin), bastarda (sackbut) and continuo instruments (violoncino and chest organ). Video and audio were recorded in the NCEM (Nationale Centre for Early Music) in York (UK) as part of the eeemerging residency of the Castello Consort there in May 2017. The Castello Consort is a young, Netherlands-based ensemble that specializes in the historically informed performance of 17th-century music. The ensemble consists of four instrumentalists: Elise van der Wel (violin), Matthijs van der Moolen (sackbut), Anne-Linde Visser (violoncello) and Henriëtte Wirth (organ & harpsichord).
