Hiking the Wave! 9/30/20

Coyote Buttes North, also known as the Wave, is located right on the Arizona/Utah border. The hike actually starts in Utah, and ends in Arizona. The area is just unbelievably beautiful, with other-worldly sandstones and rock formations everywhere. There are only 20 people allowed here per day- 10 from an online lottery held 4 months in advance, and 10 from a walk up lottery held in Kanab, Utah. Some people try for years before they win a permit for this elusive hike... I was lucky enough to win the walk up lottery on my second try! After reaching the Wave, I explored a bit more and found the Second Wave, as well as hiked up to the Top Rock Arch. I mistakenly called this Melody Arch in the video, but that’s actually a separate arch... which means I have to come back so I can go to that one as well! I wanted to capture the hike itself, as well as the incredible payoff at the end. Most people will never be fortunate enough to get to do this, and it very well might be my only time
