Our guest in this edition is an opera singer from South Africa. There are not so many opportunities to further an operatic career in her home country so she made the journey to Europe in 2005. Since 2011 she has been thrilling audiences with her beautiful voice at the opera house in Stuttgart here in Germany. Pumeza Matshikiza was brought up in a township in South Africa’s capital Capetown at the end of the apartheid era and is now one of the most talked about young sopranos in the opera world.
