For me personally, Michael Carrick is on the same level as Xabi Alonso. I am not the only person who rated him to be on the same level as Alonso. In fact, Pep Guardiola had said the same thing. He’s such an underrated or probably the most underrated midfielder in the league. His passing ability with both feet, the way how he dictate the tempo in midfield & his defensive contribution, people often don’t notice all of these.
