Advancing with Watercolor - Working on Location “Dei Loggia“

This is part three of a muti-part series stemming from a recent trip to Florence Italy along with 10 other artists.- Piazza della Santissima Annunziata was the square where we stayed the week - a historical residence Loggiato die Serviti. Upon walking out the front door we were greeted by the most elegantly designed colonnades created by Brunelleschi in the 16th century. In this demo I talk about using repeated shapes to create depth and character in the painting. Also some strategies for simplifying a scene filled with gorgeous and inviting detail.
