Adam Deadmarsh’s goal less than five minutes into overtime gives the Kings a 3-2 victory as they eliminate the Red Wings in their first-round series. Deadmarsh finishes with two goals and an assist for the Kings, while Jozef Stumpel adds a goal and two assists and Zigmund Palffy tallies two assists. Felix Potvin gets the win in the Los Angeles crease. Pat Verbeek and Darren McCarty score for the Red Wings, while Chris Osgood takes the loss in the Detroit net. Game originally played on April 23, 2001 and broadcast locally on Fox Sports West. Intermissions have been removed.
