Anesthesia for Major Spine Surgery | Strategies to Improve Pain Control [2022]

Overview of the heterogenous nature of complex/major spine surgery, emerging ERAS (enhanced recovery after surgery) pathways, and the perioperative analgesic strategies commonly used by anesthesiologists. We focus on the current role for regional anesthesia techniques - in particular, the erector spinae plane (ESP) and thoracolumbar fascial plane (TLIP) blocks. This lecture was delivered virtually at the 2022 Asian Australasian Congress of Anaesthesiologists (AACA) meeting on 10 Nov 2022. This video is for informational and educational purposes only.
