Over 3700 Children Went Missing in Last 3 Years, 90% Rescued: Minister Ajanta Neog

Women and Child Development Minister of Assam, Ajanta Neog informed that 3779 children were reported missing. Out of 3779 reported cases, 3,419 were rescued by various agencies. This reflects a rescue of % of the missing children. This number was during the duration from 2021 to 2023. This information came as a reply to Congress MLA Bhaskar Jyoti Baruah’s query. She also revealed that 3,522 of the 6,054 cases reported under the POCSO Act, 2012, between 2012 and 2023 were resolved. #AjantaNeog #childsafety #children #missing
