Victor Sergeevich Litvinovich ( - )
Apprientice of the honored trainer L. M. Ramm. Master of Sports of the USSR since he was 13 years old. Grandmaster of the USSR (1965). Member of ten championships of the USSR in the period 1963-1981. He won in four of them: 1965, 1967 * (no title “champion of the USSR” was awarded), 1971, 1979. Since the mid-1960s he has been a favorite of all competitions where he participated. Sports journalist, leading a number of headings, author of many teaching aids and two books (posthumously, co-authored). Well-known trainer, creator of his own methodology for training young athletes. Among the students are Alexander Azarov, the grandmaster, founder of the Yakut draughts school after moving to the Yakut village of Churapcha.
Tragically died in the thirty-fourth year of life (household carbon monoxide poisoning).
I can also add that his book “draughts opening course“ was one of my first book which came in m hands about draughts, and inspired me a lot to play t
