’Unhinged’ media goes into a ’meltdown’ over Javier Milei’s election victory

Javier Milei has attracted – similarly to former US president Donald Trump – “unhinged” media coverage, according to Sky News host Rita Panahi. Ms Panahi’s remarks come after far-right libertarian Javier Milei was recently elected as Argentina’s new president and has often been compared to Mr Trump. “The world’s media went into a predictable meltdown,” Ms Panahi said. “It would be folly to dismiss Milei as just some extreme far-right snake oil salesman as the Guardian has. “Javier Milei may be colourful, but he’s also a man of deep conviction with an impressive command of language.”
