My Lord Cutts’ Delight / The Cotillion - Anahata, melodeon
Someone on the “tradtunes“ mailing list found a YouTube video of Robert Harbron and Sam Sweeney playing an (at the time) unidentified tune, which turned out to be “My Lord Cutts Delight“, from Henry Atkinson’s MS, Hartburn, Northumberland, 1694 (it’s on the Village Music Project web site). Also appears in later editions of Playford as “St Catherine“.
I took a liking to the tune, and found “The Cotillion“ a fine partner for it - I’m sure both tunes are of a similar vintage.
