The Beatles - La Penina

- Recorded January 3, 1969 during the Get Back/Let It Be sessions. - Been to Albufeira: Paul came up with this song riff in the coastal town of Portugal, while on vacation with Linda and her daughter Heather. - I had a few drinks there: After getting a bit drunk he went back to his hotel (La Penina) and jammed on drums for 2 hours with the band who was playing in the bar. At the end he “tipped“ them by writing this song riff on the spot for them on the piano, and said they could use it however they wanted.. - The original band recorded their own version: - A more popular version was also done by Portuguese artist Carlos Mendes: - This recording has been re-balanced and remastered by Red Hector.
