Watercolour Tip from PETER WOOLLEY: Lifting-out Clouds

In this demonstration, Peter Woolley will show how the technique of ’Stopping Out’ can be used to create a complex cloudscape. With care and practice, it’s possible to vary the intensity of the area you lift out and create subtle graduations. In this way, it’s possible to to blend it into the surrounding wash so that you can’t see the join.
