Bathory - Ring of Gold - Dungeon Synth cover - Supernatural Darkness (Yamaha PSS-680 and Volca FM)

Fantasy ambient Dungeon synth cover of Bathory’s Ring of Gold. Written by Quorthon for the 2002 album Nordland. My music: Electronic Fantasy and Dungeon synth can be found here at I first figured out a version for classical guitar by ear which I notated into Guitar pro 5. From there I exported midis and used my Yamaha PSS-680 flute, accordion and harp patches to arrange a soft wintersynth type of version to this great song by Quorthon. A convincing yet still very FM type of choir sound was used from my Volca FM which I uploaded from sysex data, probably a DX7 patch. Further editing was done in Reaper DAW. Nordland has been a favourite for many years for its epic melodies and soaring winter atmospheres. I feel Ring of Gold is one of Quorthon’s most visual pieces of music.
