EXTREME Upgrades! - Heavily modified aircraft in action in Ottawa (Convair, Dash 7 and Twin otter)

These heavily modified aircraft are based in Ottawa, they are multi-purpose aircraft that have been heavily upgraded for all sorts of special missions! Ottawa airport is home base too many types of highly modified aircraft. A lot of the aircraft that do this work are government run like the NRC. The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) studies a lot of different atmospheric and biospheric research. The Dash 7 is owned by Transport Canada, part of the National Aerial Surveillance program (NASP). NASP has a fleet of Dash 8’s and a Dash 7 to help protect Canada’s waterways. These fly around Canada’s coast lines to protect marine life, reduce pollution in Canada’s water ( detecting oil spills, trash etc..). Sander Geophysics provides aerial surveys for mining, geophysics and environmental mapping. ____ Facebook Page: Twitter: (@Mark__Brandon) Flickr: (Mark Brandon) Instagram: http
