“REST DAY“ Zion wasn’t in the itinerary when I first planned out my Utah trip back in April, but I managed to snag a sweet campsite last minute so i swung by— and it ended up being just what I needed. Normally when I travel I get into this mode of wanting to see and do everything, but this time in Zion I was able to turn that switch off and find rest in a familiar place. In 24 hours, I did my favorite hike, took a sweet ass nap, made the perfect egg, ran along the river, stared at the fire for an hour or two, and left Zion as whole as ever. ’s right I’ve said it-- Angels Landing is the most fun short hike in all of the land. Incredible views of the canyon the entire way keep you energized and if that’s not enough the final half mile push to the summit involves a narrow two way chained path with huge drop offs on both sides.
