T’boli Dance

These dances involve shuffling steps and swooping movements of the arms and hands. It was performed during the Philippine Festival Barrio Fiesta by the students of Tokyo University of Foreign Studies Philippine Dance Troupe last September 28-29, 2013 at Yamashita Park, Yokohama City, Japan. Tboli known as Tiboli are among the indigenous peoples of SOCCSKSARGEN. Some sources, they term T’boli from the word “Tau-bili“. Tau means “small human creature and “bili“ means “fruit of the wild vine“.
