This film “Sun and Dust“ is a Colorventure Production made in 1957 by filmmakers Lawrence and Nadine Randall, as part of a series of travelogues they called “World Colorventures”. The film portrays a trip South from the U.S. border to Guadalajara and back, covering various natural sites, tourist attractions, and local crafts. Lawrence Randall was a Chicago-based clothing company executive who, in his spare time, made travel films with his wife Nadine. “Sun and Dust“ was eventually distributed by the Chicago school system in an hour-long version, as well as this short version.
