How to introduce yourself in a group

I HATE BEING IN GROUPS. And I hate introducing myself in front of a group even more. Why do they make us do this?!? Well, “they” do make us do it, and sometimes you have to do it. It’s even worse if you have to do it in English if that’s not your first language. And even worse if you’re shy... what about if you’re shy AND English isn’t your first language... double trouble.
