A Tribute to the Str. MISSISSIPPI QUEEN

As of March 31, 2011, the Str. MISSISSIPPI QUEEN was under tow to Morgan City, LA, where she will eventually be cut up for scrap. To many she was not the most graceful of steamboats, but she was truly authentic and surely meant the world to those who worked and lived aboard her. She deserves a more fitting tribute than to be left to the obscurity of the past.
