THE YEAR 2021 IS ENDING BUT WITH SEVERAL UNFORGETTABLE EPISODES. SOME WERE GOOD BUT THE MAJORITY WERE GRUESOME. THESE INCLUDE.  THESE INCLUDE LAND EVICTIONS AND CONFLICTS. THESE CONFLICTS ARE MAINLY IN THE CENTRAL REGION WHERE THE TENURE SYSTEM WAS DISTORTED BY THE 1900 BUGANDA AGREEMENT,1902 CROWN LAND, 1912 SUCCESSION LAW, 1922 REGISTRATION OF TITLES LAW, 1975 LAND REFORM DECREE BY IDI AMIN, 1995 LAND ACT, 1998 LAND REFORM, 2010 LAND REFORM AND 2021 PROPOSED LAND REFORM AGAINST MAILO LAND TENURE SYSTEM.  THESE NEW REFORM PROPOSALS HAVE CREATED A RIFT BETWEEN THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT AND THE BUGANDA GOVERNMENT.  WE WITNESSED THE VERY OBNOXIOUS KIND OF ELECTIONS OF JANUARY 14TH WHICH SAW THE RETURN OF THE INCUMBENT. IN THESE ELECTIONS, MANY OPPOSITION SUPPORTERS WERE ARRESTED AND JAILED FOR OVER 6 MONTHS UNDER TRUMPED CHARGES OF POSSESSING FIREARMS AND ROUNDS OF AMMUNITION.  WE WITNESSED THE INAUGURATION OF THE NEW GOVERNMENT IN TOTAL.
