On Thursday, July 28th 2016, at the Settlement Music School in Germantown a group of musicians, dancers, singers and poets, led by The Eye2Eye Trio and Monnette Sudler came together to celebrate he life and work of a Philadelphia’s Jazz Ambassador; Byard Lancaster. The performers included… The Eye2Eye Trio [Bert Harris-bass, Elliott Levin-sax and flutes and Kim Pedro-drums] featuring special guest guitarist, Monnette Sudler. They were joined by other musical guest including, Marianne Lancaster-Tyler - piano, Alfie Pollitt - piano, Larry Price - alto sax, Jerome Hunter - bass, Lisa Chavous - vocals, Barbara Walker - vocals, Harold Smith - digeridoo, shells, percussion, Robert Kenyatta - congas, Barbara McPherson & Natasha Truitt dancers.
