Things planned long ago2 Psalm 40:5 Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare... As We examined Psalms 40 we see the patriarch David seriously praying and beseeching God. David’s enemies wanted to kill him as David was very conscious of his many sins. understand my brother understand my sister the closer we get to God these two things will happen to us one our enemies will want even more to kill us and number two you and I will become more conscious of our sins. my prayer for each of us may we get closer to God so that we can experience more of his good pleasing and perfect will. In this psalm David offers praise to the Lord for meeting his needs. He may have composed this psalm during one of his exiles in the wilderness or during the infancy of his rule as Israel’s king.
