Abandoned mountain village of Kahib, Republic of Dagestan Old Kahib is three villages linked by narrow tunnels, so that it was easier to repel enemy attacks. Kahib is considered to be an impregnable place, for thirteen centuries of its life the enemies managed to get there only once. After that, the battle towers were erected.
