Iron Biby ’lights up’ Royal Albert Hall - 478.4 lbs - AXLE PRESS RECORD + ARCHIVE
Look back at the Axle Press World Records from 2017 to now. Finishing on the successful lift of 217kg / 478.4 lbs for a new World Record lift, by Iron Biby, at the Royal Albert Hall
The strongman - Iron Biby - had tried in previous episodes of the World Axle Championship to break the record - despite taking back to back wins.
The record was held by Eddie Hall at 216kg before the event in July 2021 and had stood. However, it finally fell on the 3rd attempt, as the Axle seemed almost too heavy for the African strongman to get it to his shoulders.
But - wow - when it finally arrived to the shoulders after the crowd demanded the organisers gave him one last effort - Iron Biby showed off his pressing power. It’s pushed up with such ease it actually almost shocked those present. Congratulations to Burkina Faso, a country that must be very proud of its strongest son!
