Joan Miller (1937)

Joan Miller. American Television Telephone girl. M/S of two women sat at a switchboard, one is busy working while Joan is playing with her chewing gum, she pulls it out and sticks it on the board. C/U of Joan, she answers a call, then turns to the camera as if it was her friend and tells about a man she met last night, she is just going to tell us what he said to her when she is interrupted by a call from one of the guests, complaining about the milk, Joan says it’s the best there is and comes from contented cows. Various shots as she tells us about the man she met in-between answering calls including several young men for a Miss Don. Eventually the man she met last night rings up for Miss Don and she gives him a mouthful.
