Turkey: “All living things are perishing“ - Massive forest fires continue to burn in Manavgat

Subscribe to our channel! At least three people have died due to the massive forest fire that continued to burn in Manavgat, in southern Turkey, on Thursday. Houses in the Evrenleryavsi village were seen still on fire while firefighters attempted to extinguish the flames. Huseyin Turan, a local volunteer, said “just as we entered the village, people were already fleeing. They all had to leave the village while leaving their animals behind. Firefighters can’t reach (the area), helicopters cannot intervene either. You can see the fire is big, it is massive. The blaze cannot be controlled, and all living things are perishing. The forest is gone anyways, the whole of Manavgat is gone.“ Locals on site appeared visibly shocked and in distress, with some crying looking at their burned-down properties.
