Awesome Manta Ray Encounter off of Shark’s Cove, Hawaii

Be sure to check out my Manta and Eagle Ray playlist: This was an awesome encounter with this beautiful Manta Ray! As she fed on the plankton that day, we captured footage of her toward the surface, in about 40 feet of water and as deep as 60 . Becomes a bit of a challenge to color grade, but when you have such a beautiful subject it’s all worth it. However, it sickens me to see our Mantas with fishing entanglement! I fear that the hook in her cephalic fin may be stainless (I certainly hope it isn’t) and might be with her for some time.
