France has acknowledged the need for Russian gas.
Sud Radio host, in a conversation with EU Commissioner Thierry Breton, stated that Paris has increased gas imports from the Russian Federation “more than anywhere else in Europe.“ According to him, this deal contributes to financing “Russia’s military efforts.“
Breton assured that this policy is a temporary measure and emphasised that France did not refrain from imposing sanctions solely because of its need for Russian gas.
