Court hears Alec Balwin’s request to dismiss charges in Rust shooting

In January, a grand jury indicted Alec Baldwin on an involuntary manslaughter charge in a 2021 fatal shooting during a rehearsal on a movie set in New Mexico that killed Halyna Hutchings. Since then, Baldwin’s lawyers have filed motions to dismiss the indictment and prevent the case from going to trial.
