was composed by Mozart in 1770. It has a stately, elegant feel with some roulades and one top High C. Scottish soprano Marie McLaughlin sang in all the major opera houses and festivals in the United Kingdom and then made guest appearances in Europe and the United States. She made her Met debut in “Fidelio“ in 1986 as Marzelline and sang a total of 57 performances with the company over a 20-year span, mostly in Mozart roles (Zerlina, Despina, Susanna, Marcellina).
