BUILDING an OFF GRID YURT in the FOREST - START TO FINISH // LOW COST YURT Made of BAMBOO - Ep. 118 In LOVE with this yurt colour! This 16’ diameter yurt from features a minimalist design which includes a lattice wall made of bamboo, yurt center dome ring made of bamboo, and cedar front door. To build the yurt platform, Jake and Nicole used all materials found on their own property minus the plywood for the deck. The yurt stilts, yurt platform support beams, yurt deck blocking, and concrete sand/rock were all found on site and local and chainsaw milled custom by Jake and Nicole. The reason the yurt is up so high on the deck is because we live in one of wettest and rainiest places on Earth getting over 15 feet of rain annually. We are nicknaming this yurt “Galicia“ and it will be our guest cabin and residence of the Komorebi property manager! Let us know what features we should build inside the yurt and outside around
