Titles read: “SHORTCIRCUITING [sic] “GIB“!“. Various locations of events. Brief shots of steam trains on railway track, double decker buses on a London street, electric trains and a wide barge on a canal. Commentator talks of the plans for a new £100 million canal across France from Bordeaux and Narbonne, linking the Atlantic with the Mediterranean sea and avoiding Gibraltar. Animated diagrams illustrate the plans and show the time that would be saved on several shipping routes from northwest Europe to the Middle and Far East.
