Birch wood rescued from the firewood storage, linseedoil - How this idea came up to make these tools? There are some available tools for thread-making, but not in the dimension i wanted. So i gave DIY chance. That is the biggest advantage on selfmade things: they can be designed exactly according to the wishes. - Is the pitch (2cm) not bit too high?
