Suomen Ilmavoimien johtama Arctic Challenge Exercise 23 -lentotoimintaharjoitus järjestettiin 29.5.–. Mukana oli noin 150 ilma-alusta 14 eri maan asevoimista ja Natosta. Harjoituksen suurissa ilmaoperaatioissa oli mukana yhtä aikaa jopa yli 100 ilma-alusta. Käytössä oli neljä tukikohtaa: Rovaniemi ja Pirkkala Suomessa, Luulaja Ruotsissa ja Örlanti Norjassa. Approximately 3,000 soldiers and 150 aircraft from 14 different nations’ armed forces took part in the multinational exercise led by Finland.
