Slobodan Vukanović, Montenegro. Slobodan Vukanović (Podgorica, 1944) lives in the Mediterranean and the European state of Montenegro. He worked as a journalist and was the editor of several literary magazines. He has published the novels Key Pendulum and Tuđemili’sFireflies, ten books of poetry, Five Ballet Librettos, and Doclean Ballad. He has also published ten children’s books. Some of his poems, one story and one play have been included in the primary school readers and studied at the Department of Montenegrin Language and Literature. In addition to some local awards, he has won the international award “Old Olive”, the Medal of the Belarusian Writers’ Union and the “Golden Dragon” award for fiction presented by Refesticon. He is the founder of the Poemuviz literary movement. His plays have been performed on stage and broadcast on the radio. He is included in more than 40 national and international anthologies.
