The hopper for instance is 1/3 larger than the comparable DFX-S3, these are downdraft units verses crossdraft and these units can be upgraded to wood fuel options and the VersiFire package anytime after the sale. With the DXF-10 you will learn on charcoal fuel first. Running charcoal is sort of like having training wheels. You will experience solid engine running and optimal performance with out worry of tarring up your generator. When you opt for the wood fuel option you can then mix fuels with the added filter system and then work your way to 100% wood fuels after installing the hearth core.
