“Forty-six minutes is a good swim for most people, but here’s a lady who broke the woman’s record in South Africa, with one of forty six hours - Mercedes Gleitz.“ M/Ss of Ms Gleitz swimming in a pool. She swims over to the edge of the pool to sign an autograph. Overhead shot of her swimming on her back. She swims to the edge of the pool and is given a cup of tea. She drinks the tea whilst treading water. “Drinking, reading - signing autographs - something has to be done to keep your mind off the minutes dragging slowly on - “ M/S of Ms Gleitz reading a newspaper in the pool.
