Cilla Black’s Wedding (1969)

With the bride arriving late and other casualties you could almost consider this wedding ordinary. But the wedding of Cilla Black and Bobby Willis was a spectacular event. Take a look at the footage right here. No titles. Cilla Black’s Wedding. Liverpool, Merseyside. At St Mary’s Catholic Church in Woolton we see a car pulling up, bringing Cilla Black and Bobby Willis to the church for a second marriage ceremony after their registry office marriage earlier in the year. Crowds of people wait outside the church to see Cilla. She and Bobby get out of the car and are almost lost in the crowds of people. Cilla is wearing a fab white minidress with white ostrich feathers around the neck and cuffs plus white boots. They get to the church steps and wave to the crowds. Cilla kisses Bobby then they go inside. Police hold back the crowds. After the marriage ceremony Cilla and Bobby reappear on the steps, surrounded by people.
