Russia Turns Soviet Era BMP Into Remote-Controlled “Combat Robot“, Can Clear Trenches, Destroy Mines

Russia is planning to test the capabilities of its remote-controlled combat robot in Ukraine, according to Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov. Moscow will be testing the BMP-3 infantry fighting machine which has been outfitted with the Sinitsa module. Sinitsa module enables a manned BMP-3 to transform into a fully autonomous vehicle that can be manoeuvred through a tablet-like interface. Designed by High Precision Systems, a subsidiary of Rostec, the Sinitsa module brings the BMP-3 into the realm of robotic warfare.
