7 Year Old OUTDOOR Saltwater Pond ft. Julian Sprung

This OUTDOOR saltwater pond has been running for 7 years! An outdoor saltwater pond is a relatively rare occurrence. Finding one stocked with beautiful clams, mangroves, fish, and corals is even rarer. But the Holy Grail of these is the unique 500-gallon pond of Julian Sprung. During our visit to Florida, we got a private tour of his pond and what goes on behind the scenes to keep it as spectacular as any indoor reef system. Julian discusses what he does to keep the corals thriving and even what he needs to do to compensate for the frequent South Florida downpours. During our visit, we also see feeding time in his incredibly colorful indoor reef, which houses some spectacular large coral colonies and some fish that some of us might regard as not reef tank worthy. This trip was one of the high points of our trip to Florida.
