Russia: Brown bear gives birth to 5 cubs in Christmas sensation

Russian brown bear Masha gave birth to five cubs over the Orthodox Christmas at a mobile zoo in the Russian town of Ufa. Video footage from the mobile zoo released on Monday, shows the mother nursing her little cubs. The director of the zoo called it “sensational“ as according to him, “brown bears usually give birth to only two to three cubs. It is a rarity to have five or six cubs at once.“ The mother remains protective however, still not allowing anyone to approach her offspring. Video ID: 20160118-048
