How not to lose a sword in battle-features of the Jian sword grip

After the last video, there were many questions about the Jian technique in the comments. One of these questions is whether the jian can be used with a two-handed grip or is it a privilege of the katana. I must say right away, there are many two-handed swords among the Chinese, shuangshou jian, han jian, dadao, miaodao and others. But what about the ordinary Jian? In this case, the situation is quite unusual. Many techniques of wielding this sword involve the use of the second hand as an auxiliary support, most often in defensive forms, but sometimes in moments of attacks, such as pricking and ripping. At the same time, there is no direct grip of the sword handle with the second hand, but there is a well-coordinated interaction of both hands. The main purpose of such support is to prevent the loss of weapons and the additional effort transferred to the weapon. What do you think about this?
